Owls  are  without  any   doubt   my  favourite  birds. Who  has  not  been  fascinated  by  these  birds  as  a kid? There presence often only  noted by their  call, the ability   to   fly  and  hunt  at   night, their  charasteristic shape  and  pearcing  eyes all  stand  out and  make  them intriguing and  mysterious. A few  years ago I   saw  my  first  owl in the   wild,  a short eared  owl  hunting  in the  mid  of  a winter`s  day. I  was  so  excited and  thrilled  to  be able  to  both witness and   photograph  it, I will  never  forget  that  moment.  After  a  while  I  started  to  understand  the owls  and their needs a little and it  became easierto  find them. It  has resulted  in  some  nice images (at least, I  think  so).

All these were taken in the UK
